Riverrun Studios www.riverrunstudios.co.uk is a professional studio offering high quality recording facilities across a wide range of services. We are well equipped and have recorded and produced all styles of music both in the studio and on location throughout the UK. We also operate a front of house sound service for music festivals and are able to prepare music for films and commercial soundtracks.

We also operate a variety of training programmes designed to meet the needs of the music industry, which include courses in studio engineering and production, composition, song writing, midi, and the techniques of musical performance. In addition we offer a consultancy service to schools and provide inset training for the teaching profession.

At Riverrun we have a policy dedicated to achieving the best possible results by working first and foremost from a musical and artistic standpoint, we use technology as a means to an end, as opposed to an end in itself. To achieve this aim the studio is staffed by trained and experienced personnel who posses the necessary skills to work in-depth within the many musical disciplines required by the wide variety of artists who come to record at Riverrun.

Riverrun is based in Potton situated on the Cambridgeshire Bedfordshire border. Our studio is in a quiet and secluded part of the town, 40 mins from London and 3 miles from Sandy station. We are positioned close to the A1 & A14 making it ideally placed for musicians countrywide.

The studio is run on a day to day basis by John Mercer who is supported by a pool of musicians and technicians who are invited to work on various projects.

The studio instruments and equipment include – a Yamaha C3 Grand Piano, 24 track ADAT, Soundscape MD Editor, 12 synthesisers and samplers, Logic Audio, 15 outboard FX boxes and a collection of microphones including 2 U87’s, AKG 414 etc.

Our studio is available for hire seven days a week from 9.00am until 10.00pm.The studio is set in a quiet location with good local facilities. Visitors to our studio are most welcome, and we can arrange accommodation if required.
